The name “bottleworld” comes from the fact that there isn’t any frontier left. Humanity and the rest of this seething, oozing, beautiful thing called life are stuck together inside a crowded little spaceship, and Pauly Shore isn’t around to save us. It’s a closed ecosystem, and, as in any roommate situation, things are bound to get tense. Shall it be a case of mutual parasitism, or can we forge a real symbiosis? Let’s find out!

| | I'd rather cycle I'd Rather Cycle
Sometimes when you are stuck behind the wheel of the car, it is sunny outside and you are stuck in traffic, do you think I'd rather cycle? If not, then you should do!
So what's it all about?
We are bringing awareness to motorists, local councils, pedestrians, cyclists and any one else we think can effect our roads and environment. We are not an environmental group, although this is definitely one of our concerns. We are about getting more people out of their cars and on to their two wheeled friends.

| | Bike Oven Mission Statement:
The Bike Oven endeavors to serve the community and improve the quality of urban life by promoting and facilitating, through culture change, the use of bicycling as an alternative to the non-sustainable and climate damaging fossil-fuel powered motor vehicle transportation system.
Our Story and Some Basic Facts:
The Bike Oven is a volunteer-run bicycle repair collective that started in a single car garage on Avenue 42 in Highland Park.
What We Do:
The Bike Oven provides all the tools and supplies you will need to do most minor or major repair jobs. Volunteer mechanics are available to assist you if you need guidence or instruction. We have a large supply of used parts available at low cost for replacing damaged parts, building up your bike, or doing that one speed conversion you’ve been planning. We keep a small stock of basic new parts (tires, tubes, cables, etc.) in most common sizes. We often will have complete bikes available for purchase, but almost always have a variety of used bikes and frames that need a little work and TLC to bring them back to life. Bring in your own bike, or start off with one of ours, and we’ll help you get back on the road.
